Etiquette
Tips
To keep things moving, putt now and score later. Upon
completion of a hole, move ahead to the next tee before writing
your scores down. When you are approaching a green in
your golf cart, find the cart path and drive to the back of
the path towards the next tee. Help out your playing
partners by watching their golf shots, especially when teeing
off. The more eyes the better. Lost balls really
slow up play. The first person who finishes putting should
be ready to place the flag back into the cup when the last
person holes out. If you feel comfortable about continuous
putting, it really helps move play along. Take your time
and go ahead and finish putting. By not over thinking
you will probably make more 2nd putts.
Rakes - In or Out?
The U.S.G.A. is very clear on
this. Rakes should be placed OUTSIDE of bunkers on the
away side and parallel to the intended line of play. Rakes
should not be placed between a bunker and a putting green. |
